Under David’s leadership, the company has expanded to 276 stores, 65 veterinary clinics and 162 grooming salons across both countries. In 2022, the business hit a major milestone, with Woolworths purchasing a majority 55% stake in the business for $586 million – a remarkable achievement for this Ballarat-born business.

You will also hear from Leigh Edward, CEO of Ferndale Foods Australia, a family-owned food manufacturing company based in Ballarat. Leigh has led the company through major growth, including a $20 million investment in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility producing millions of snack bars each year and supplying major retailers such as Coles, Woolworths and Aldi, while creating local jobs and exporting products globally.
