New Victorian regulations clarify that psychosocial hazards must be managed in the same way as physical risks. Hazards such as bullying, harassment, violence, and exposure to traumatic material can cause serious psychological injury if left unaddressed.

The Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations 2025 introduce specific duties for Victorian employers to identify psychosocial hazards, control associated risks, and regularly review those controls.

To support compliance, the Victorian Chamber has developed fact sheets covering 14 key psychosocial hazards, how they show up, how to control them, and other supports and resources. Head here to read and learn more through their Psychosocial Health Hub.
