Committee for Ballarat, Grampians Health and Ballarat Community Health are calling for specific allocations for Ballarat in the lead up to the state election. Ballarat, as part of the Grampians region, remains the only major regional centre in Victoria without a designated Mental Health and Wellbeing Local service for adults, while recording the second-lowest number of mental health beds per head of population in the state.
