Ballarat teenager, Fiona Elsey lost her fight with cancer in 1991. Through her motivation, she inspired her local community to support the cancer research work of oncologist and clinician-haematologist, Prof George Kannourakis to fulfill her dream of building a cancer research facility in her hometown, Ballarat.
