The City of Ballarat is reviewing the current Community Local Law, and we are keen to hear from businesses on how we can use the local law to keep our neighborhoodsds and business precincts a welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

One of the key areas the Community Local Law review will look at is simplifying permit application processes for:

•     Display goods for sale

•     Itinerant trading

•     Spruiking, busking and pavement art

•     Erecting or placing of advertising signs

•     Sale and consumption of liquor on roads adjoining licensed premises

•     Waste receptacle placed on roads or Council land

•     Use of Council land or road for outdoor eating facilities.

This is an important opportunity for the business community to help shape the Community Local Law to make sure it remains effective and relevant to our community for the next 10 years.
