The City of Ballarat is committed to ending gendered and family violence in Ballarat and are supporting several existing initiatives to expand frontline services and provide additional supports. One of these initiatives is the DV Safe Phone project. Current phone donation points are located at Jeep and Fernwood Fitness but the City of Ballarat will expand this to 6 additional council owned facilities, including libraries and community hubs. DV Safe Phone is a vital program that provides safe mobile phones to domestic violence and law enforcement agencies, offering a victim-survivor a lifeline to connect with loved ones and essential services, ultimately helping them break free from abusive situations and start anew.
