‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹The City of Ballarat is celebrating following an announcement that the Federal Government will contribute $1.1 million to repurpose the ageing terminal building at Ballarat Airport into an aeromedical patient transfer and emergency services facility. As part of the project, the aircraft parking area immediately in front will be expanded to accommodate larger aircraft. To read more head here. Additionally, Stage one of the runway upgrade project, which has increased the runway length from 1,2500 to 1,800 meters, marks the completion of the first stage of a transformational two stage upgrade envisioned for the airport. The City of Ballarat is currently seeking a funding partnership for the second stage and will be submitting applications to Commonwealth funding streams. To read more head here.
