Deb Sleep received the MacKenzie/Valpied Award for Sports Administrator of the Year at the Ballarat Sportsmen’s Club Sportsperson of the year awards. She received the award with her family and representatives of the BFUA in attendance, and the award was presented by Gary Ablett. The award recognises her outstanding contribution to the BFUA, and the fact she has been instrumental in a massive increase in female participation in umpiring in the Ballarat region.
