A few of our members attended the inaugural Internet of Things (IOT) three day conference year in Melbourne last year and while we thought we fairly well versed on the topic, it left us asking more many more questions than we anticipated. Whether you work in retail, finance, manufacturing, health, government etc. etc,  Iot will affect the way you do things in the future.

The expected steady growth of IoT devices in 2018 represents a new and complex challenge to traditional businesses. A survey by U.S. research firm HIS Markit estimates there are currently 20 billion connected devices globally. IT Researchers Gartner predict that the number of “things” interconnected on line will out-number the human population by a three-to-one margin by 2020.

The Internet of Things will change the pricing of things. It is suggested there will be a need to adopt new unconventional pricing models that can accommodate a variety of price levels and payment frequencies.
