Supporting innovative small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups to commercialise their ideas and grow their businesses.

The program supports innovative SMEs undertaking commercialisation or growth projects that will build Australian capabilities in priority areas for the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF):

• renewables and low emissions technologies
• medical science
• transport
• value-add in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors
• value-add in resources
• defence capability
• enabling capabilities.

TradeStart Program

Tailored 1:1 support empowering agrifood and beverage exporters across Victoria.

Global Victoria is a key partner in Austrade's TradeStart program aimed at supercharging the state's food and fibre exports.

From January 2025 to June 2027, this collaboration provides 1:1 support to Victorian businesses seeking to enter and expand in priority international markets.

Five regionally based Trade Managers delivering TradeStart services will provide personalised, one-on-one export guidance and services including sharing export advice and insights, export capability building, and connecting export-ready businesses to global markets.

These services are available to Victorian businesses located within Barwon South West, Grampians, Loddon Mallee, Hume, and Gippsland regions, alongside ongoing support for the Greater Melbourne area.
