BSides is an international cybersecurity conference run by local cybersecurity community members. The first BSides conference was held in Las Vegas in 2009, and in 2024, over 1,000 BSides events were held in 255 cities in 65 countries. BSides conferences are now held in most Australian capitals.

BSides is coming to Ballarat on the 3rd and 4th of May 2025, hosted by the Internet Commerce Security Laboratory at Federation University Australia.
