COMMITTEE FOR BALLARAT - NEW CEO 19 June 2019

Michael Poulton will commence as Committee for Ballarat's new CEO on 1 July. Michael was appointed following a rigorous selection process which attracted a strong field of candidates. Michael is a long-term local resident who is well known and highly respected in the community. He comes with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our region and a strong background in leadership development and stakeholder engagement which makes him a great fit for leading Committee's agenda. 3BA WINTER APPEAL 19 June 2019

Formally known as 3BA Christmas in July Appeal, 3BA General Manager, John Fitzgibbon, explained "the purpose for the rebranding was to provide each of the major 3BA community appeals with their own specific identity. We will now have a Winter Appeal and a Christmas Appeal." If you would like to help Ballarat families in need by donating, no matter how big or small, every dollar counts and they would love to pick up your donation from your business, school or feel free to drop in at 3BA HQ. BALLARAT WINTER FESTIVAL 19 June 2019

From 29 June until 21 July Ballarat will make the most of the cold weather this Ballarat Winter Festival. Get your friends and family together and explore Ballarat's laneways, streets, buildings and events. Uncover art that comes to life with augmented reality or explore the evolution of gaming at the Winteractive Arcade. Be enthralled by the Knights of Fire and Snow Queen Neva at Kryal Castle or wander through the lit up lane-ways and dance in the snow at Sovereign Hill. L2P DRIVING PROGRAM BALLARAT 19 June 2019

L2P Driving Program - Ballarat are on the lookout for more volunteer mentors to supervise young learner drivers who have no access to a car or supervising driver and require support and supervision to complete the 120 hours of practice needed to sit the test. We are looking for volunteers who will be a positive role model, bring skills, experience and encouragement to a learner in a non-threatening and safe environment. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far. 2019 will be a phenomenal year for the Ballarat International Foto Biennale with the presentation of our 8th edition, it is the biggest yet with some of the most significant artists exhibiting from around the world and closer to home from Australia, Melbourne and Ballarat. As a not-for-profit with full DGR and TCC status, audited financials reported to the ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission), and a governing board, their capacity to continue relies on donors.
