Victoria's next generation of skilled workers has outshone the rest of Australia at the nation's largest trades and skills competition, returning with the highest number of gold medals. 100 young Victorians put their skills to the test over the weekend, competing against Australia's top apprentices and trainees the 2025 WorldSkills National Championships and Skills Show. Over 600 competitors from across the country gathered in Brisbane for three days of intense competition in more than 60 skill categories including plumbing, cybersecurity, health care, carpentry, web design, hairdressing, floristry and automotive mechanics. Victoria won 19 gold medals - the most of any other state. Wonderful news for the state! Read
