The Xin Jin Shan Chinese library houses over 200,000 Chinese books, rendering it as one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. It also serves as an education and research centre for Chinese languages and the history of Chinese immigration and settlement in Australia.

The Chinese Australian Cultural Society Inc provides the Chinese people, their descendants and all other persons with an interest in Chinese culture the opportunity to come together for the purpose of promoting friendship, cultural exchange and understanding.
