VITRAFY LIFE SCIENCES TO PARTNER WITH THE USA

 

Ballarat biotech company Vitrafy Life Sciences recently announced its technology to cryopreserve blood platelets in commercial quantities had passed important independent testing with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR). Vitrafy chief executive Kate Munnings said current techniques to cryopreserve biological material using liquid nitrogen caused damage to cells, but Vitrafy's device and cryopreservation technique doubled the cell survival.
