From 1 October 2026, the Visa, Mastercard, American Express and eftpos card networks will introduce ‘no surcharge’ rules for businesses that accept payments made using prepaid, debit and credit cards from each network. If your business currently charges customers a surcharge for these payment types, this change means your business will no longer be able to do this.
