SafeTALK SUICIDE PREVENTION WORKSHOPS
We have many people asking us what they can do to help reduce suicide in our community, so this is how you can!
The Suicide Prevention Network funds suicide prevention training that is delivered by Lifeline Ballarat, so that you can participate at no cost and maybe save a life? This is how you can help the community to make a difference.
safeTALK workshops empower participants to recognise invitations for help and give the gift of life through proven intervention methods. safeTALK stresses safety while challenging beliefs that inhibit open conversation about suicide.
There are two Ballarat safeTALK workshops left:
Wednesday, October 23 1pm-5pm - Register HERE
Saturday, October 26 9am-1pm - Register HERE
"The safeTALK Suicide Prevention workshop has further increased my skills in recognising someone who may be at risk of suicide and how to help them. The intervention methods learnt during this session will allow me to Recognise, Respond, Refer and to know I can make a difference in helping reduce suicide within our workplaces and community. Thank you to Commerce Ballarat, Lifeline and the Ballarat and District suicide Prevention Network for providing a well informed and engaging workshop.
I would highly recommend attendance to the next available workshop." - Workshop Attendee
