GROW Ballarat Launch

« back to event listing

Are you involved in business in Ballarat and care about addressing disadvantage in the community? This is the event for you. GROW (Growing Regional Opportunities for Work) Ballarat is a new collaborative approach that works with businesses across Ballarat to improve economic and social outcomes plus increase job opportunities through tailored procurement and employment strategies.

A healthier regional economy will not only be a great thing for business, it will also drive job growth in our region. We hope that, whenever possible, people from disadvantaged communities can be prioritised for those jobs.

Guest Speaker: Bill Mithen. CEO, Give Where You Live Foundation (GWYL)

Bill is CEO of GWYL, which provides grants to community organisations working to alleviate disadvantage in the Geelong region. He is a G21 Board Director and has also been instrumental in the success of the inaugural GROW program, which was launched in Geelong in 2014 by G21 and GWYL.

Afternoon tea will be provided. There will be a networking opportunity after the event.
