The Regional Events Fund

Three funding streams for Regional Event Acquisition (Stream One), Event Growth and Development (Stream Two) and Event Industry Support (Stream Three).

Please refer to the funding guidelines for application information and timelines.

 

The Regional Community Events Fund

Grants of up to $25,000 (ex GST) are available for eligible events from a total funding pool of $1 million.

Applications are open throughout November 2021 and will be submitted for assessment at the end of the month.

 

Events will not be considered for assessment if they commence within four weeks of submission of application or after 31 December 2022.


Business Costs Assistance Program Round Four

Additional payments for businesses across Victoria that were recipients of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two or the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two July Extension grant.

  • $2800 per week for businesses with no payroll or an annual payroll below $650,000.
  • $5600 per week for businesses with an annual payroll between $650,000 and less than $3 million.
  • $8400 per week for businesses with an annual payroll between $3 and $10 million.

Businesses in metropolitan Melbourne and the City of Ballarat that are unable to open due to public health orders will receive full payment for the two weeks from 17-30 September.

COVIDSafe Deep Cleaning Rebate

Rebates to help businesses cover the cost of cleaning after closing a worksite due to a suspected or confirmed coronavirus (COVID‑19) case.

The rebate will cover up to 80 per cent of the cleaning costs at each worksite, capped at a grant of $10,000 (for a total cleaning cost of $12,500).

City of Ballarat - Business Support Grant

Business Support Grants of up to $500 are available for businesses with a significant reduction in revenue as a result of COVID-19.

To be eligible for a Business Support Grant, you

  • operate within the City of Ballarat municipal boundary
  • maintain an ABN registered within the municipality
  • demonstrate* a turnover reduction of 30%** or greater for a period of four weeks (can be non-consecutive weeks) since 27 May 2021 
  • not have already received a City of Ballarat business support package grant (excluding waivers listed below)
  • not have an annual payroll exceeding $1 million.

Applications will be assessed as they are received.

Applications will close at 5pm on Friday 29 October unless grant funding has been distributed before this date

City of Ballarat - Community Support Grants

Community Support Grants of up to $250 are available for community groups, volunteer groups and sports clubs with a significant reduction in revenue due to COVID-19. 

To be eligible for a Community Support Grant, your organisation must

  • operate within the City of Ballarat municipal boundary
  • be registered or incorporated
  • demonstrate* a negative financial impact during the restriction period which commenced on 27 May 2021 
  • not already have received a City of Ballarat community support package grant (excluding waivers listed below).

Applications will be assessed as they are received.

Applications will close at 5pm on Friday 29 October unless grant funding has been distributed before this date.

Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme

Alleviating financial hardship faced by tenants as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Scheme will be available to businesses with an annual turnover of less than $50 million that have suffered a decline in turnover of at least 30% due to COVID-19.

Commonwealth COVID-19 Disaster Payment

Commonwealth Government support payments for eligible workers, micro-businesses and sole traders impacted by Victorian public health orders.

The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is administered through Services Australia. The payment is set at $450 for people who have lost 8-20 hours or a full day’s work over seven days, and $750 for 20 hours or more. People who receive certain Commonwealth income support payments or allowances are eligible to receive a $200 payment where they have lost eight hours work or more due to the lockdowns.

Commerce Ballarat - Be More Digital

Commerce Ballarat have partnered with GROW Ballarat to create a team of local digital specialists to assist Ballarat businesses during their COVID recovery. The team will assist eligible businesses with mentoring in digital marketing and strategy implementation, e-commerce, web development and SEO.

This service is being provided to approved business operators in the tourism, hospitality, retail, arts and entertainment, beauty and fitness industries in Ballarat.

Commerce Ballarat members are eligible for 5 hours free consultation and non-members 3 hours.

Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund 3

Grant support to eligible small landlords that have waived rent for their tenants under the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme.

Eligible small landlords can apply for a grant of up to $6000 per eligible tenancy.

Applications to the Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund 3 will close at 11:59pm on 15 January 2022, or when funds are exhausted.
